Patagonia just launched its new e-shop dedicated to its responsible program Worn Wear. In addition to a commitment to high quality sustainable pieces, the brand also allows for the clothes to be repaired, resold, and even recycled.

In opposition to an industry issuing mass-produced and short-lived items, and advocating for planned obsolescence, Worn Wear celebrates the recycling and resale of second hand products. A kick in the fashion industry which particularly speaks to generations Y and Z – according to the Cone Communication Millenial CSR Study (2015), more than 9 out of 10 Millennials could alter their purchase decisions in favor of a brand which supports a social cause, even overtaking the importance of the product itself.

From observation to action, this is the time for responsibilization. And this initiative will please those wishing to resell their used clothes (brand trade-in values guide), as much as those looking to save money and the planet…
