On Friday, December 8, 2017, Yohji Yamamoto was presented with the DFA Lifetime Achievement Award 2017 in Hong Kong, succeeding the graphic designer Ang Sahn-Soo. Since 2003, this annual award ceremony has celebrated Asian design excellence. For the Category Award, entrants submit projects in four key disciplines: Apparel & Accessory Design, Communication Design, Environmental Design.
